Hillary Clinton HQ up and running in Louisville

Senator Hillary Clinton’s Presidential campaign opened the doors on a Kentucky headquarters Wednesday evening, thirty four days before the Commonwealth’s May 20 primary. Around 100 supporters turned out to the see the Louisville office officially get designation as the nerve center for Clinton's Kentucky operations.

Lead grows for Lunsford, Clinton in latest SurveyUSA poll

SurveyUSA's latest polls find Louisville businessman Bruce Lunsford and New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton with growing leads atop their respective races. Lunsford's lead in the seven-candidate Democratic Senate primary field grew 5 percent since the last poll by SurveyUSA. That poll gave Lunsford 42 percent support among 572 "likely" Democratic voters.

LCV names McConnell 'Don of the Dirty Dozen'

This week, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) added Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell (R-Louisville) to its "Dirty Dozen" list, after an online vote of LCV members selected the four-term incumbent as the "most egregious" offender of the environment.

A statement released by the LCV noted McConnell accumulated a lifetime 7 percent approval score from their organization.

AFL-CIO Endorses Lunsford

The Kentucky branch of the AFL-CIO announced their endorsement of Democratic U.S. Senate candidate and Louisville businessman Bruce Lunsford on Monday, after local union representatives converged in Frankfort to choose favored candidates on Saturday.
