Obama campaign to Burch: 'Ridiculous'

A spokesperson from the campaign of Senator Barack Obama responded concisely this evening to comments by State Representative Thomas Burch (D-Louisville).

During the Wednesday grand opening of Hillary Clinton campaign headquarters in Louisville, Burch - a Jefferson County co-Chair for the campaign - suggested donations from Obama to 3rd District Congressman John Yarmuth (D-Louisville) may have encouraged Yarmuth's endorsement of the Illinois Senator.

“I found out my local Congressman got $2,500 from Obama,” Burch told PolitickerKY.com. “I wonder: did he pay that to get an endorsement?”

Today, Obama campaign spokesperson Shannon Gilson reacted to Burch's comments.

"That suggestion is ridiculous," said Gilson.
