Final Senate Debate set for today

The final debate between the principal candidates for the Democratic Senatorial nomination will begin shortly in Louisville.

Frontrunner Bruce Lunsford and Louisville businessman Greg Fischer - Lunsford's nearest challenger in the latest polls - are among the five candidates set to take the stage at Vincenzo's restaurant in Louisville for a lunchtime debate.

The event is only the second in which Lunsford and Fischer will jointly participate in a debate. Monday's televised KET debate was the first.

That contest featured Lunsford and Fischer exchanging barbs on party loyalty, among other things.

Today's debate is sponsored by the Louisville Forum, a non-partisan issue gfroup.

The Democratic primary lies just 6 days away, on May 20.
