A series of internal memos from Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign have surfaced on The Atlantic, providing a unique perspective on the U.S. senator's campaign operation.
A March 5, 2008 strategy memo from Mark Penn predicted that Clinton would win the Bluegrass State and pick up 28 of the 51 available delegates, with U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) earning the other 23. That's the same as was predicted by the Obama campaign in a memo "leaked" in February.
Both campaigns' early predictions were far off. Clinton won the May 20 primary by a larger margin than originally anticipated and was awarded 37 delegates, while Obama received 14.
